- Personality
- Tick
- Weapon
- Prop
- Let the dark inspiration seep into your soul.--------------------Improvise a Monologue- Stand in front of a mirror (or a horrified friend). - You’re a master of monstrous improv
- OR
- Your neighbors call the authorities.
--------------------

How to Play — Judges Mode (4–24 Players)

# Step right up, my sinister stars! Welcome to Judges Mode!In Judges Mode, you’ll unleash your creepiest characters while your fellow ghouls transform into a panel of twisted talent show judges. Everyone gets their moment in the spotlight… and a turn behind the judge’s table.Judges Mode turns Personality Disorder into a haunted talent show where monsters shine. Rotate the gavel, share the stage, and let every ghoul claim their moment to terrify and delight!--------------------## How to Play ##SETUP- Gather 4 to 24 players.- Shuffle all Personality Disorder decks.--------------------CHOOSING JUDGES- There are no permanent judges. Judges rotate every round so everyone performs and judges.--------------------SMALL GROUPS (4–5 Players)- Each round, one player performs. The others judge.Example:- Alice performs.- Bob, Charlie, and Dana judge.- Next round, Bob performs. Rotate until all have performed.--------------------LARGE GROUPS (6+ Players)- Each round, choose 3 random judges from players not performing.- No one should judge twice in a row if possible.- Performers can’t be judges that round.--------------------GAMEPLAY- The performer draws 4 cards: Personality, Tick, Weapon, and Prop.- They improvise a monologue, going creepy, dramatic, hilarious, or utterly unhinged!--------------------JUDGING- Each judge scores the performance from 1 to 10.- Judges can praise, roast, or buzz the performer.- Add scores for the total.--------------------KEEP GOING- New performer. New judges.- Keep playing until everyone’s performed — or your group is howling with laughter.--------------------WINNING- Highest total score wins the night — and the title of Supreme Haunt Star!--------------------TIE BREAKER- If there’s a tie, hold a sudden-death performance or vote for your favorite ghoul.--------------------

Disorder Mode (3-24 Players)

# Game OverviewThis game is meant to be fun, chaotic, and a great way to build acting skills. It’s flexible — feel free to change or make your own rules however you like!Players will draw cards to create a character and act it out, while everyone else guesses details about that character. The actor and correct guessers earn points. The player with the most points at the end wins!--------------------## How to Play ##Setup- Divide the four card decks and place them face down:
- Personality
- Tick
- Prop
- Murder Weapon
- Decide who goes first by playing rock paper scissors. The winner goes first. Play continues clockwise.--------------------A Player’s Turn- Draw one card from each of the four decks.- Take 30 seconds to prepare.- You have two minutes to act out your character.--------------------Guessing- While the player is acting, the other players secretly write down their guesses for:
- Personality
- Tick
- Murder Weapon
- At the end of the performance, players have 30 seconds to finalize their answers.--------------------Scoring- Each correct guess earns the guesser 1 point.- The actor earns 1 point for each correct guess from other players.--------------------Game End- The game ends after everyone has had a turn. The player with the most points wins that game.- Players may continue and play as many matches as they’d like, keeping track of who wins each game.--------------------## How to Use the Cards ##How to Use the Personality Card- Defines the core identity of the character, which may be haunted, exaggerated, or strange (e.g. “The Boaster” or “The Scholar.”)- Use this card to shape how your character talks, moves, and presents themselves.- Players will not have a list of personalities, so if someone guesses something close, it still counts. (Optionally, you can list all personalities beforehand for more competitive guessing.)- If guessed correctly, both the actor and the player who guessed it earn 1 point.--------------------How to Use the Tick Card- A Tick is a strange habit or involuntary behavior your character can’t control — like talking to themselves, winking constantly, or pacing.- Act it out clearly and consistently throughout your performance.- At the end of your turn, other players will try to guess your tick.- If guessed correctly, both the actor and the player who guessed it earn 1 point.--------------------How to Use the Prop Card- This card represents an everyday item your character must use or mime during the performance. It should clearly be part of your act.- The prop can be mimed or physically held.- Example: A player with “Salad Tongs” might pretend to grab people while talking.- Real props may be used, but miming is perfectly acceptable.- Guessers do not earn points for identifying the prop, but they must watch closely.- Penalty: If the actor forgets or ignores the prop, any player can call it out at the end of the turn. If confirmed, the actor loses 1 point for that round.--------------------How to Use the Murder Weapon Card- This card is the character’s “tool of doom” or chaos.- The weapon must be acted out clearly but never spoken aloud. Players must guess it based only on your actions, gestures, and sounds.- Sound effects and miming are encouraged.- Example: A player with “Salad Tongs” might pretend to pinch someone’s neck.- If guessed correctly, both the actor and the player who guessed it earn 1 point.--------------------

Chaos Mode (3-24 Players)

# Welcome to the Wild Side of Personality Disorder: Haunt Edition — Chaos Mode! This isn’t your average game night. Chaos Mode turns acting into an all-out performance battle, where two players go head-to-head on stage, each becoming a brand-new character with strange habits, hidden weapons, and dramatic props. The crowd becomes both the audience and the judges, deciding who stole the show — and who deserves the points — with a simple raise of hands. It’s fast, it’s funny, and sometimes completely out of control. Whether you’re a born performer or just here for the laughs, Chaos Mode is your chance to let loose and see who can survive the ultimate improv showdown. So grab your cards, gather your courage, and get ready to act your haunted heart out!--------------------## How It Works ##Drawing Cards
- Both actors secretly draw one card from each deck:
- Personality
- Tick
- Prop
- Murder Weapon
- Actors get 30 seconds to prepare.
- They may strategize how to interact with each other — or perform separately.
--------------------The Performance- Both actors perform at the same time for 2 minutes.- They must:
- Act out their Personality and Tick.
- Use or mime their Prop during the scene.
- Act out their Murder Weapon without speaking its name.
--------------------Audience VotingOnce the scene ends, the crowd votes for each actor separately by raising hands.A vote means:
- You think you know the actor’s character (their combination of Personality, Tick, and Weapon).
- OR you simply enjoyed that actor’s performance more.
--------------------Scoring- Count how many hands go up for each actor.- Each raised hand = 1 point for that actor.Example:
- If 3 people raise their hands for Garrett → Garrett earns 3 points.
- If 2 people raise hands for Noah → Noah earns 2 points.
--------------------Verifying Guesses (Optional)You may optionally allow voters to say what they guessed about the actor’s Personality, Tick, and Weapon. If you use this rule, only correct guesses count as votes. Otherwise, votes are purely based on performance.--------------------Keeping it Fair- Remind voters to vote only once per actor.
- Players cannot vote for themselves if they’re acting.
--------------------Game End- After everyone has performed three times, the game ends.- However, if you have many players, one round per actor may be plenty.- The player with the most points at the end of the rounds wins the game.--------------------Notes for Smooth Play- With larger groups, performances can be shorter (e.g. 1 minute) to keep the game moving.- If scenes become chaotic, you can require each actor to perform one at a time while the other waits — but that’s less chaos!- Props can be mimed or real, but they must remain safe.- Actors lose 1 point if they fail to use their Prop during the scene (just like in Standard Mode).- Consider writing down all Personality cards in advance for the audience to reference if playing with new players.--------------------Short Chaos Mode Summary- Two actors draw one card from each deck.
- Both perform for 2 minutes.
- Crowd votes with raised hands for each actor.
- 1 vote = 1 point.
- Most points wins after the chosen number of rounds.
